Today I finished filming the final clips of my film opening. Now I can put all my focus towards editing. My next step is to put all the clips together in a smooth and efficient way. After that I will establish the title shot and the credits. I have already chosen a font so this part should be fairly easy. The most important aspect of the film that I have yet to finish is the music. There is no conversation in my piece, so I will rely heavily on sound effects and music. This is important to the horror genre and the classic feel of my film opening. Overall, I am excited to finish my film opening and get started on the CCR.
Looking back at my blog posts, I realized I never discussed makeup design. I wanted Emily Johnson to have running mascara and a sad look. This is important to convey her sadness over her sister's death. Not only that, but makeup is important to her character and her personality. Here are some photos of the finishing product.
Not only that, but I altered the costume design as I began to film. Emily Johnson is a teenager that wears very trendy clothing, but I realized she would not be wearing these styles while mourning her sister's death. Therefore, she is wearing a hoodie with messy hair in the film. Now I can definitely say my blogs are up to date and I could not be happier with my progress.
