I researched the fonts of successful horror movies and television shows. All of these fonts have become iconic to their respective films and contribute to the horror genre. Here are some of the fonts I viewed before selecting one for my film.
Nevertheless, I realized I never officially announce the title of my film opening. After finalizing my storyboard for the second time, I chose DeathNote for my film opening title. I chose this title because death threats and notes are the main object that advances the plot throughout the movie.
I was stuck between three fonts to use in the title shot. Here are what they look like:
I finally decided that font #3 would be perfect for the title slide, and font #1 would be perfect for the credits. Font #3 is very similar to handwriting which relates to the notes in the film, while Font #1is bold and easy to read despite the background. These fonts have a scary, bold feel to them which is ideal for my horror film opening.
